Arsenal are set to receive a timely boost with both Bukayo Saka and Riccardo Calafiori available for selection ahead of their clash with [Newcastle United.](http://Bukayo Saka is set to make his return to the Arsenal squad this weekend).

The pair have been sidelined for varying periods in recent weeks through injury, but both now appear ready to play their part in the Gunners' Premier League title push. Speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday's encounter with the Magpies, Mikel Arteta confirmed: "No [issues].

"Bukayo is probably going to be in the squad. So good news. Riccardo in the squad." The Spanish manager also confirmed the match will come too soon for Jurrien Timber, who continues to remain unavailable.

Saka has been absent from Arsenal's line-up since he featured in the Carabao Cup final defeat to Manchester City prior to the recent international break. The England wide man has been managing an Achilles problem that has required careful handling.

He was unable to recover in time to face City at the Etihad Stadium last weekend but could be handed some valuable playing time tomorrow. Arteta also suggested that Saka appears delighted to be back among the squad, commenting: "He was in great spirits today; you could see that."

Meanwhile, defender Timber has been sidelined for the best part of six weeks after being forced off against Everton on March 14. The Dutchman featured in the starting XI for the 2-0 triumph over the Toffees but was forced off before the interval with a groin problem after also taking a knock to the ankle.

Calafiori has been sidelined for a slightly shorter period than Saka and Timber after sustaining an injury in the 1-0 Champions League victory at Sporting CP. He was absent for the return fixture and has also been ruled out of recent Premier League encounters against Bournemouth and title challengers City.

Arsenal are aiming to reclaim top spot in the table this weekend while Manchester City are occupied with FA Cup semi-final duties against Southampton. The Gunners slipped to second place on Wednesday night after Manchester City's 1-0 away win at Burnley, a result which condemned the Clarets to relegation.
