Cesc Fabregas is finding it'very difficult'to want the Chelsea job - journalist

Cesc Fabregas is reluctant to abandon his long-term project at Como for the instability of Stamford Bridge, prioritising his deep emotional and financial investment in Italy over a return to Chelsea.

Chelsea fans have wasted no time in calling for Cesc Fabregas to replace Liam Rosenior at Stamford Bridge after his sacking earlier on this week.

However, it’s not as easy as that, as the current situation at Chelsea isn’t exactly an attractive one to anyone looking in from the outside.

In fact, potential manager suitors have been put off by the current Chelsea ownership and their regime, which is making it difficult to nail down candidates.

And it appears as if Cesc Fabregas is a part of that list.

Would you take any of these Premier League managers at Chelsea?

Chelsea reportedly want their new manager to have Premier League experience…

Cesc Fabregas’ reasons for not wanting the Chelsea job

James Horncastle, when speaking on the BBC’s Euro League’s podcast, has claimed that Fabregas has too many reasons not to take the Chelsea job right now.

“Look, I think Cesc one day would like to work in the Premier League, but I think he appreciates that he’s on to something good and unique now. He has a stake in Como, he’s not just emotionally invested, he’s financially invested in that club.

“The club has come a long way very quickly, in part because of the investment made by the owners, but in part because Cesc has been allowed to develop and show his talent there.

“And I think he has a long-term project at Como. He has a stability there that a coach at Chelsea, I don’t think can count on. And I think that does matter to young coaches.

“I would expect Cesc to stay at Como this year. They still have a shot of qualifying for Champions League. I think if they were to do that, then being in the Champions League with that club and what it means to him, I think would make it very difficult for him to leave.”
