Germany manager Julian Nagelsmann has frequently been linked with the Chelsea managerial job whenever it crops up, however the club will require him to buy in to the project before giving him the role.
The Chelsea owners have admiration for Nagelsmann, and he has been amongst the list of candidates to take over at Stamford Bridge in the past.
The German is currently preparing to take charge of his country at the World Cup, although that could end Nagelsmann’s tenure with his country.

Reports have also stated that intermediaries have offered Nagelsmann to Chelsea after this summer, although it will not just be as simple as him wanting to take over the club.
Ben Jacobs told the GiveMeSport newsletter that the Chelsea ownership will require the next manager to buy into their thought process before being hired.

He said: “So now if they go back to Nagelsmann, should he leave Germany after the World Cup, he would have to buy into Chelsea’s thought process, because this job, to my knowledge, is not just going to be handed to a top coach, several names are going to be interviewed.”
Before taking over Germany, Nagelsmann was keen on a Premier League move, and the Chelsea role will be arguably the biggest opportunity that comes up in England.
With reports stating that Chelsea’s top candidates are currently in a job, potentially including the Germany boss ahead of the World Cup.
