Check out the best photos from City's 3-2 defeat on the road against Brighton in the WSL
Andrée Jeglertz’s side lost for just the third time in the WSL on Sunday afternoon, going down 3-2 against Brighton.
It was a dream start for City, who raced into the lead when Kerolin’s looping effort left Chiamaka Nnadozie with no chance and us in control after just five minutes.
However, after largely dominating proceedings in the first half, the Seagulls got back level in stoppage time through Madison Haley’s neat strike.
It was a sucker blow for City two minutes into the second half when Kiko Seike put Brighton ahead and continued to look a threat going forward.
City were then handed a huge mountain to climb after Haley’s second goal to create a two-goal cushion with less than half an hour, although Bunny Shaw’s 19th league strike did see the deficit halved with minutes left to play.
While City were dealt a blow in our pursuit of the WSL title, our title prospects still remain in our own hands with just two league games left to play, although it appears likely everything will go down to the final day.
