The atmosphere at Stamford Bridge reached a breaking point on Saturday during Chelsea’s 1-0 loss to Manchester United. The reports have emerged that Chelsea players went for Alejandro Garnacho during a fiery half-time charges. It happened as tensions boiled over following a dull first-half display of Chelsea.

But it was the way Bruno Fernandes bypassed Garnacho in the buildup that left his teammates fuming. According to the reports, players demand more accountability from the winger.

Why the Team Was Angry?
It was not just a bad day at the office that sparked the row. There is a feeling within the squad that Garnacho has lacked focus since his controversial exit from Old Trafford. Before leaving United, he had public quarrel with former manager Ruben Amorim. He was even seen wearing a rival shirt on social media.
At Chelsea, the expectations are high in any football game. In a match with huge implications for European qualification, his teammates felt he was not up for the fight against the club that sold him.
