Liverpool will have to fend off the likes of Chelsea and Real Madrid, as well as Manchester United, if they want to sign Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven this summer, according to reports.
TEAMtalk claim that all four teams are showing “strong interest” in the Netherlands international ahead of the next transfer window.
Van de Ven is believed to be keen on leaving Spurs, regardless of whether the North London club retain their top-flight status.

The player’s representatives have signalled that the player is not interested in signing a new contract and would like to move at the end of the season.
Konate’s future may determine any approach for van de Ven
Ibrahima Konate has recently stated that he is close to signing a contract extension with the Reds. His current deal expires at the end of June.
However, The Times reporter Paul Joyce has raised doubts over whether Konate is in fact on the verge of putting pen to paper.
If the Frenchman doesn’t sign and leaves Anfield, it will raise the possibility of a move being made for Van de Ven.
Liverpool will have concerns about the player’s form
Van de Ven hasn’t had the greatest of seasons. Despite staying fit for most of the campaign, he hasn’t managed to prevent Tottenham from shipping 53 goals in 33 games.
Instability with three different managers can partially be blamed for that poor defensive record, but it does prompt questions over whether he would be worth the sizeable fee.
Van de Ven is extremely quick, still pretty young (25) and left-footed, so he does have plenty of great attributes, and with the player seemingly keen on securing a move, it is a story to keep a close eye on over the coming weeks.
