The atmosphere at Stamford Bridge remains hot following the sacking of Liam Rosenior, with Enzo Fernandez taking a big stance over his future.
Enzo Fernandez makes Real Madrid transfer decision
Enzo Fernandez will only leave Chelsea to sign for Real Madrid this summer, having ruled out the possibility of moving to Manchester City, according to a report from El Nacional.
It claims that the World Cup winner has made a “firm” decision over his future, setting his sights on playing alongside Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior at Real Madrid.
Enzo has decided that he is prepared to wait for an approach from Los Blancos rather than leaving Stamford Bridge for another club in a decision that the Spanish report brands to be “unusual”.
Chelsea have no intention of selling the 25-year-old this summer.
‘Rosenior stitched up by Enzo and Cucurella’
Chelsea pair Enzo Fernandez and Marc Cucurella have been accused of “stitching up” sacked manager Liam Rosenior by Gary Neville.
Speaking to Sky Sports (via the Evening Standard), the pundit claimed: “The results have not been good enough. When the results aren’t good enough, a manager gets sacked.
“But come on, Cucurella and Fernandez - experienced players and probably the only two experienced players that Chelsea have got - stitched him up in the last few weeks by calling out the fact that they basically love Maresca, but they weren't doing that well under him.
“I think Maresca is a fine coach as well, but this policy at Chelsea and this plan – I don’t see it. These six- and eight-year agreements, you see it is almost laughable from the start, whether it be for a manager or a player.”

Chelsea join scramble for Genk wonderkid Karetsas
Chelsea are one of a number of Premier League sides following the fortunes of Genk winger Konstantinos Karetsas, TeamTalk reports.
The Greece international already has 11 assists in Greece’s top flight this season, leading to Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Marseille, Liverpool, Everton and Leeds all chasing the 18-year-old talent.
The Blues have previously signed Kevin De Bruyne and Thibault Courtois from the Belgian side.
Morgan Rogers transfer warning
Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers is open to playing outside of the Premier League amid interest from Champions League winners PSG, TalkSport reports.
According to the radio station: “PSG have joined Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea as the most genuine suitors for the 23-year-old.”
Chelsea are considered to have something of an edge in this battle as they can call upon one of Rogers’ best friends in the form of Cole Palmer. The Blues have already made their intention to sign another creative midfielder clear.
Under contract until 2031, Villa have a strong hold on the player’s future and are set to demand around €90m (£80m) to sell him.
Mudryk update emerges as Chelsea wait on ban news
Mykhailo Mudryk has become Chelsea’s forgotten man as he trains away from the squad while waiting on an update after testing positive for a banned substance.
Shakhtar Donetsk sporting director Darijo Srna has backed the Ukraine international to bounce back.
Speaking to Flashscore, he said: “The mood is not so good at this moment but he believes everything should be good and he will return to football as fast as possible.
“He is training, he's training by himself because the FIFA rules say you cannot stay in the camp. He dedicates almost the whole day to train and to keep himself in a good level, physically and mentally.”
Srna also snapped back at criticism over Mudryk’s €70m transfer fee.
“A lot of people said he wasn't worth the money. That's not true,” he said. “Why would Chelsea pay that for him? Why did Arsenal want him? Why did the whole of Europe want Mudryk? The problem is that he arrived at Chelsea during one of their most difficult periods in 25 years.
“When someone pays €70million for you, they expect miracles, but football doesn't work that way. You can find many examples: Alexander Isak at Newcastle, Jack Grealish – I could list many. He's still a young player. Before Chelsea, he'd played maybe 10 or 12 Champions League matches.”
Mudryk is currently training alone on a 3G pitch that is the home of Southern League Premier Division South side Uxbridge.
