Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez is said to be attracting interest from Manchester City ahead of the summer transfer window.
A move to the Etihad could potentially see Fernandez link up with Enzo Maresca again, with the Italian believed to be the No.1 contender to replace Pep Guardiola as City manager if he departs at the end of the season.
Fernandez is an excellent footballer, but Chelsea may not have to look too hard to find his replacement.
If Enzo Fernandez leaves, we should be all over Bernardo Silva 🤩
He's set to be available on a free transfer this summer!

Bernardo Silva would be ideal Enzo Fernandez replacement
The Blues could have the chance to sign Bernardo Silva this summer, and the Portuguese would be the perfect successor to Fernandez.
Silva is leaving City at the end of the season and, according to TEAMtalk, Chelsea have been sounded out over a potential deal.
He would be a like-for-like replacement, with the Portugal international being a very similar player to Fernandez.
Silva and Fernandez can play as a No.10 or in midfield, though the former’s size probably means he can only be used in a midfield three and not a double pivot.
Silva is great in the half-spaces, while Fernandez has become effective at making runs into the box and scoring goals. Ultimately, both men can cause damage in the final third, albeit in slightly different ways.

The City star can also add something Chelsea’s squad is currently lacking: experience. Silva is 31 now and has made more than 450 appearances for Guardiola’s side.
During his time at the Etihad, he has won six Premier League titles and one Champions League trophy. Not only would Chelsea be getting a very experienced player, but they would also be acquiring a winner.
The problem that Chelsea are likely to have is convincing Silva to join them. After spending such a long time at City and becoming a legend there, he may not want to join another English club.
If that turns out to be the case, Leon Goretzka could be another good option to replace Fernandez. But Chelsea’s lack of Champions League football could be a problem for him.
It is also likely to be an issue for Silva, but the former AS Monaco man may have a desire to remain in England after having such a successful time there.
