Coventry City Premier League ticket prices set in sharp contrast to Championship

Coventry City fans will be looking forward to returning to some of the biggest and best stadiums when the Sky Blues return to the Premier League next season.

Away days at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium, Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium and famous arenas like Manchester United’s Old Trafford and Liverpool’s Anfield await the Sky Blues Army and Frank Lampard’s side.

And thanks to a Premier League rule, tickets for those matches - and every match in the top flight for that matter - will not cost a fortune.

The Premier League announced last month that a £30 price cap on away tickets has been extended for a further two seasons.

This is in contrast to the EFL where there is currently no cap on the price of away tickets.

Clubs voted unanimously to keep the cap until the end of the 2027-28 season at a Premier League shareholders' meeting.

"Away fans help create the incredible atmosphere Premier League matches are renowned for," a Premier League statement said.

"Since the cap's implementation in 2016, it has contributed to attendance at away games increasing from 82% to 91%.

"The Premier League and clubs also acknowledge the additional costs associated with travelling to follow their teams around the country."
