Arsenal defender Steph Catley has extended her Arsenal contract. The Australian’s deal was set to expire this summer but with Catley still such an integral part of the defence, the club have extended her deal once more. Arseblog News understands that it’s a two-year deal.
Catley joined the club from Melbourne City in July 2020 and she has since made 165 appearances for the club, scoring four goals. The 32-year old spent most of the first four and a half years at the club at left-back before being converted into a centre-half by current coach Renee Slegers.
Catley has won two Conti Cups and a Champions League with the club and is part of the leadership group. Steph’s outstanding 2024/25 campaign earned her a Ballon d’Or nomination in 2025, while the Australian also won her home country’s PFA Women’s Footballer of the Year award in 2025, 2024 and 2020. She has 146 caps for the Matildas.
