Mikel Arteta oversaw Arsenal training on Tuesday ahead of the trip to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League semi-final
Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber looks highly likely to miss his side's Champions League semi-final first-leg clash against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night.
The Dutchman, who has been sidelined since March 14 when he suffered a groin injury against Everton, did not emerge for training with his team-mates on Tuesday afternoon at London Colney before Mikel Arteta's squad were due to fly to the Spanish capital.
Kai Havertz was also absent after he was forced off with a muscular issue on Saturday against Newcastle, though there is cautious optimism he has avoided serious injury and he could yet play a part for the Gunners during the run-in.
In positive news for Arsenal, Ebere Eze has avoided injury despite coming off early in the second half against the Magpies following his excellent curling strike.

Gabriel Martinelli and Riccardo Calafiori were also spotted training with the group.
Martinelli was seen holding his hamstring at full-time last weekend, sparking concern he may have picked up a problem.
Calafiori had been touted to make the squad against Newcastle by Mikel Arteta but was not included despite arriving at the Emirates Stadium with his team-mates.
The Italian full-back has now seemingly recovered from a knock sustained in the 1-0 quarter-final first-leg victory over Sporting CP in Portugal.

Mikel Merino remains absent, though there is hope he could yet return in time to play a role in Arsenal's ambitious pursuit of the Double.
Atletico Madrid have received several injury boosts ahead of tomorrow night's showpiece meeting at the Wanda Metropolitano.
