Arsenal Women have secured the future of a key defensive stalwart, with Steph Catley signing a new two-year contract extension with the club.
The Australian defender’s previous deal was set to expire this summer, but the Gunners have moved quickly to retain the services of the 32-year-old, who has become an integral part of their defensive setup under Renee Slegers.

Since joining from Melbourne City in July 2020, Catley has established herself as one of Arsenal’s most reliable performers. The veteran has made 165 appearances for the club, contributing four goals along the way.
Initially deployed as a left-back during her first four and a half years at the club, Catley has seamlessly transitioned into a centre-half role under Slegers’ guidance. This tactical switch has proven inspired, with the Australian thriving in her new position.
