Man City's talks with league over schedule including Cherries game 'angers clubs'

The game against Andoni Iraola’s side, set to be the boss’s final home game with AFC Bournemouth, was originally scheduled for Sunday, May 17.

But this will now have to be moved after City’s progression to the FA Cup final, to take place on May 16.

City also need to play their home game against Crystal Palace, which was meant to take place in March.

Reports from the BBC and elsewhere have suggested that a date of May 13 has been suggested for the Palace game, while City’s visit to Dean Court is likely to be played the following week, May 19.

City have reportedly asked to explore other options, as that would see them play three times in seven days.

They have suggested swapping the games, to travel to Bournemouth on May 12 and then to host Palace on May 19.

City’s attempts to tailor their schedule to suit their needs has angered at least three other Premier League clubs, according to reports, but the league is reportedly set to stick with their initial proposal.

That would see Pep Guardiola's side travel to Bournemouth on May 19. The dates and times for these fixtures are yet to be confirmed by the league.
