Liverpool are now leading the race to sign Ibrahim Mbaye from Paris Saint-Germain this summer, with the young attacker considering his future in France.

The Reds will be on the hunt for attacking stars once again this summer, with Mohamed Salah set to bring an end to an illustrious Anfield career and Hugo Ekitike set for a long spell on the sidelines.
Arne Slot has at least been boosted by the return of Alexander Isak in recent weeks and would have been among those most relieved when the Swede found the back of the net against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
That goal does not take away Liverpool's depth problem, however. Without Salah next season, and with Ekitike facing a long return, there is a clear drop off in quality between those with a starting place and those watching on from the reserves. Whether FSG are willing to pay a hefty price to welcome Diomande remains to be seen, however. Instead, they could be forced to turn to other, cheaper options. And that's where Mbaye could come in.
