Liverpool could look to sign an alternative to Yan Diomande in the summer transfer window, and there's one player not a lot of people are talking about.
It's an incredibly important window for Liverpool in the summer as they look to find a replacement for Mohamed Salah.
Replacing the Egyptian forward certainly won't be easy, considering the number of contributions he's made since he joined the club, and it's imperative that Liverpool get this decision right.
Liverpool's recruitment model over the last few years has been to sign younger up-and-coming stars, but they might need to bring in someone ready-made to replace Salah.
The Winger Nobody is Talking About
Abde Ezzalzouli real betis
There has been a lot of hype surrounding RB Leipzig youngster Yan Diomande ahead of the summer transfer window, with a host of clubs, including Liverpool, in the race to secure his signature.
It's no surprise that he's receiving a lot of media attention after bursting onto the scene in the Bundesliga, but Liverpool might need to bring in someone a little more ready.
Diomande has bags of potential, contributing 22 goals and assists in all competitions this season, but he's still only 19 years old and could cost a whopping £78m.
Reports claim that Real Betis winger Abde Ezzalzouli has a release clause of just £52m, with Liverpool willing to pay it.
Ezzalzouli Outperforming Diomande
Yan Diomande
Ezzalzouli, described as 'explosive' by journalist Ben Bocsak, has outperformed Diomande this season, producing 24 goals and assists in all competitions.
The Moroccan winger is capable of playing on either side, and considering he is a much cheaper option than Diomande, it could be a smarter move for Liverpool.
There isn't a lot of hype surrounding Ezzalzouli, perhaps due to the fact that he's no longer a wonder kid at the age of 24.
In reality, there should be more hype around him, and it wouldn't be a surprise if that increased at the World Cup later this year.
