Liverpool’s academy continues to be a production line for international talent, with the women’s youth setup in particular attracting attention from England’s youth sides.

Reds teenager Chelsea N’Drin has officially been named in the England Women’s Under-17 squad for the 2026 UEFA Women’s Under-17 European Championship in Northern Ireland, with head coach Kerri Welsh trimming her group to a 21-player party for the tournament.

The student first turned heads when she was selected for the Women’s Under-15 UEFA Development Tournament.

A natural striker, the Liverpool forward has continued that trajectory at U17 level – netting twice in England’s 5-0 demolition of Montenegro back in October to help kick-start qualification.

That clinical streak has carried her all the way to the finals. England head into the tournament as the only nation to win all six of their qualifying matches, and Welsh’s faith in her young Liverpool striker is clear from her inclusion in the final cut.

It follows after Liverpool’s Mia Enderby and Hannah Silcock helped the England u23 side to a WU23 European Competition win earlier this month.

The 2026 UEFA Women’s Under-17 European Championship runs from 4 to 17 May, with Northern Ireland staging the finals for the first time. Eight nations are split into two groups, with England drawn in Group A alongside hosts Northern Ireland, Germany and Norway. Group B features France, Finland, Spain and Poland.

England’s group fixtures are:

Mon 4 May – England vs Northern Ireland (Inver Park, Larne, 3pm BST)

Thu 7 May – England vs Germany (Inver Park, Larne, 3pm BST)

Sun 10 May – England vs Norway, The Showgrounds, Coleraine, 3pm BST)

The top two from each group progress to the semi-finals in Belfast on 14 May, with the final at Windsor Park on 17 May. Crucially, all four semi-finalists also qualify automatically for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco, with a third-place play-off determining the fifth European spot. Every England match will be broadcast live on UEFA TV.
