Andy Robertson’s agent in Istanbul & John Henry slammed – Latest LFC News

Andy Robertson‘s agent has reportedly been busy in Istanbul, while Virgil van Dijk has spoken out about the rumours swirling over Alisson‘s future at Liverpool.

Andy Robertson’s agent reportedly held talks with Fenerbahce

Fenerbahce have emerged as a possible suitor for Robertson in the summer, with reports from Turkey claiming his agent recently travelled to Istanbul for face-to-face talks.

Journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, who is considered well-connected in Turkish football, especially with Fenerbahce, reports a “verbal offer was made,” and the left-back has taken it “under consideration.”

However, talks have since stalled due to Fenerbahce’s decision to hold presidential elections in June, with the suggestion that all negotiations are currently on hold.

It is a peculiar situation that goes against suggestions Robertson would prefer to stay in the UK, having been tipped to join Tottenham as a free agent should they remain in the Premier League.

But with four games to go and still in the relegation zone, it is no wonder Robertson is likely widening his net!

9 things we want to see in final 4 games

With only four games remaining in the season, Joanna Durkan made a list of 9 things we want to see before the curtain’s fall, from Mo Salah‘s return to squad announcements and more:

“If Slot is, in fact, staying, we need to see the plan.

“The noise from reports in England is that Slot is here to stay, and if that’s the case, we need to see something in these final four games that has been lacking all season: an identity.

“What is this Liverpool team about? What does a ‘Liverpool goal’ look like? What’s the plan moving forward? What is the philosophy?

“These are questions we need answers to otherwise the confidence heading into the summer, where further squad changes are made, will be low.”

Liverpool FC: On this day

Way back in 1901, Liverpool won the league for the very first time as they beat already-relegated West Brom 1-0 on April 29.

Having won the league away at The Hawthorns, a fife and drum band played ‘The Conquering Hero’ as the team arrived back in Liverpool, wrote LFC History.

“The plan was to lift Club Secretary Tom Watson shoulder high in celebration, but as the Liverpool Echo said, ‘No arms were long enough to grip his girth’.”
