Real Madrid, on the other hand, are expecting to appoint a new manager to replace Alvaro Arbeloa this summer, and while Jose Mourinho has emerged as a top target, Emery is someone the club are big admirers of and is also considered to be a prime contender for the role.
It's unclear if Emery would be open to moving on, but there has been talk that he is unhappy at the lack of money available at the club to take them to the next level, which could play a part in any decision.
