Mohamed Salah is expected to play again this season after scans revealed a minor hamstring injury, with Liverpool confirming positive news on Wednesday.
Salah picked up a worrying hamstring issue in the 3-1 win over Crystal Palace last weekend, with immediate fears he had played his last game for the club.
That was followed up by claims from Egypt national team doctor Ibrahim Hassan that the 33-year-old had torn his hamstring and would be sidelined for four weeks.
But Liverpool have now revealed that the damage to Salah’s hamstring is only minor and he is expected to play again this season.
The likelihood remains that he will only be available for the final game of the season against Brentford on May 24, but there is still a chance he features before then.

Liverpool travel to Man United in their next game this Sunday (May 3), before clashes with Chelsea (home, May 9), Aston Villa (away, May 17) and then the curtain-closer at home to Brentford.
Salah, who appeared to recognise the significance of his injury when he pulled up in the second half of the win over Palace, has already announced that he will leave Liverpool this summer.
The Egyptian will depart a year early, having reached an agreement with the club to terminate his contract with 12 months remaining.
It will mark the end of a nine-year stay that has seen Salah become Liverpool’s third-highest goalscorer of all time, with his 257 behind only Ian Rush (346) and Roger Hunt (285).
Speaking after the weekend’s victory, Virgil van Dijk told reporters that Salah was a “quick healer” and that he hoped he could be involved before the season was up.

“I know he is doing everything in his power to be back on the pitch as soon as possible,” the captain said.
“If you get injured at this stage of the season, especially in the situation he is in, there is only two more home games left for him, it’s a combination of feelings that go through your mind.
“Hopefully he won’t be long. Maybe he’s back next week, maybe not. I have no idea.
“He will get the send-off regardless. I don’t think that is the thing at this point, we shouldn’t think too far ahead.
“Knowing Mo, he is a quick healer and with the right people around him and let’s see.”
