All you need to know about Arsenal and Atletico Madrid's Champions League second leg clash:
Date and time: The second leg of the Champions League semi-final tie between Arsenal and Atletico Madrid is scheduled for Tuesday, May 5, 2026, with kick-off at 8pm. The fixture will be played at the Emirates Stadium in north London, following the first leg, which takes place in Madrid on April 29.
Ballot eligibility: Access to tickets was determined by a ballot system restricted to Arsenal members who held a valid membership before the August 27, 2025, embargo date. Platinum and 23-game Gold members were eligible to purchase their own seats, while 19-game Gold members and Silver members entered a joint ballot, followed by a separate ballot for Red members.
Registration timelines: The registration window for the ticket ballot opened several weeks ahead of the fixture to accommodate the high demand for a semi-final. For Silver and Red members, the ballot registration closed on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 10am, after which successful applicants were notified and charged.
Pricing structures: Tickets for this titanic European fixture followed the club’s Category A pricing, reflecting the significance of a Champions League semi-final. While specific ranges vary by block, standard adult prices range from £78 to £145.50, with concessions available for junior and senior members in designated areas.
Ticket exchange: Fans who missed out on the ballot can access the Ticket Exchange to buy seats listed by season ticket holders who can no longer attend. The exchange opened for Gold and Silver members on Monday, April 27, 2026, and opened for Red members on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 10am.
Television coverage: Fans unable to attend the match can watch it live on Amazon Prime Video, which holds the primary broadcast rights for Tuesday night Champions League fixtures. Coverage is expected to begin at 7pm, providing an hour of build-up before the 8pm kick-off.
Emirates Stadium stats: The two clubs have met twice before at the Emirates Stadium, with the most recent encounter being a 4-0 win for Arsenal in the Champions League league phase on October 21, 2025. Prior to that, their only competitive meeting in north London was a 1-1 draw during the 2017/18 Europa League semi-final first leg despite Atletico being a man down.
Finals heritage: Both teams are fighting to lift their first Champions League trophy, having experienced the heartbreak of losing in the final previously. Arsenal have reached the final once in their history, losing to Barcelona in 2006, while Atletico Madrid have reached the final three times, finishing as runners-up in 1974, 2014 and 2016.
