Bayern star's brilliant reaction after PSG ball boy refuses to give ball to him has gone viral…

Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer’s flash of frustration has gone viral after he clashed with a Paris Saint-Germain ball boy in Tuesday’s Champions League tie.

The German goalkeeper conceded five goals and made no saves in Bayern’s 5-4 defeat at the Parc des Princes in an action-packed semi-final first leg.

It was the first time Neuer has conceded more than four goals in a Champions League game, as he fell victim to a devastatingly clinical PSG side.

The Bayern captain also endured an uncomfortable moment with one of the ball boys along the sideline, with his reaction to the incident going viral on social media.

Neuer was involved in a tense moment with a Paris Saint-Germain ball boy during Tuesday’s Champions League clash.

The 40-year-old goalkeeper asked for the ball as he looked to restart play quickly, but the ball boy initially did not hand it over.

The youngster kept the ball at his feet for a few seconds before eventually returning it, with the pair exchanging brief looks.

Frustrated with the PSG ball boy’s actions, Neuer later asked a Bayern social media staff member, who was pitchside behind the advertising boards, to keep the ball for him, with the moment shared on the club’s official accounts.

Bayern almost mounted a remarkable comeback in the first leg of the semi-final on Tuesday, scoring twice after going 5-2 down in the second half.

Neuer, meanwhile, was on the unwanted side of history as, for the first time since detailed records began in 2010, he conceded five goals without making a single save. The German goalkeeper said post-match:

“You saw the goals. It’s hard to save one of those. Twice it was very close, where I might have got there or even touched it.

“Conceding five goals unsettles any defence and goalkeeper. But we’re not hiding from that. We’re focusing on the return leg.

“If we’re on our game, we can exploit their defence. And at the back, we can certainly do better than we did today.”

Neuer Undecided on Retirement

With his contract set to expire at the end of June, Neuer has previously insisted he is still considering whether to continue playing beyond the 2025-26 campaign.

Earlier this month, the 40-year-old goalkeeper revealed his future does not hinge on Bayern lifting more silverware this season, having already secured the Bundesliga title. Neuer said:

“I'd like to make a decision sooner rather than later. But I'm not basing it on titles. Ideally, I'd like us to win them all, but our opponents also have a big say in that.

“I haven't made up my mind yet, but it won't be long before I do. And then there will be talks with the club.”
