It's going to be a monumental weekend in the title race and Hotline callers are already out with the calculators.

Celtic can strike first against Hibs but then Hearts and Rangers collide at Tynecastle on Monday.

But some punters reckon Gers numbers won’t add up if they can’t get a win in Gorgie.

Charles Maxwell emailed: “If Celtic beat Hibs on Sunday we can sit down and look forward to a no-lose scenario magic Monday.

“If Rangers win, they'll probably hand us the title. If Hearts win, it's third place at best and no Champions League cash once again for Rangers. A draw will put the title back within Celtic’s hands and most probably still see Rangers finish third.”

Alan Flett, via email, said: “As a Rangers fan, I obviously hope we win the title, but if we lose to Hearts it's game over.

“Would that really be a bad thing? Hearts have been the best team in the league all season and would be worthy champions.

“This would be the worst ever Rangers side to win the title, but if Celtic win it, Scottish football should be stopped.”

Stephen Johnstone, Ardentinny, said: "Danny Rohl should have took his players to Saltcoats instead of Spain.

“North Ayrshire council are short on donkeys on the beach but Ibrox has plenty and I can see them winning hee haw this season.”

Meanwhile,Record Sport’s former Hibs star Tam McManus is fearing the worst.

Davy Cook, Edinburgh said: "I think Tam is a closet Jambo. He talks more about Hearts than Hibs. Good luck to your wee Edinburgh team on Sunday Tam.”

Still on the Jambos, Scott Gowers, Edinburgh , said: “Normally there are nominees for team of the year but this time it has to be club of the year.

“Hearts lifted the Youth Cup and are leading the way in both the mens and women’s leagues with a few games to go.

“The combined odds of all three would be far higher than Leicester City's 5000/1 Premier League shot.”

There’s work to be done at Rangers and Celtic this summer no matter what happens in the next few weeks.

And Ian Renton, Johnstone , said: “I totally agree with caller James Maclean regarding the lack of Scottish players in their line up.

“Rangers have always had a strong core of Scottish players who know what it means to play for Rangers. That is lacking today and is reflected in some of their results.”

While Stephen Mulhern, Dumbarton , said: “I’m hoping Celtic won’t be tempted In splashing out £13m on someone with potential.

“The answer is already on our own doorstep, an enforcer in midfield is badly required and Cammy Devlin at Hearts would be a terrific acquisition at the fraction of the fee.”

Finally, hoping this weekend’s Premiership action will be half as thrilling as the other night’s European heavyweight clash.

Alan Lough Dunbar, said: “What a difference two games make in the Champions League.

“On Tuesday night, PSG and Bayern Munich had us on the edge of our seats with a nine goal thriller.

“But 24 hours later Atletico Madrid and Arsenal bore us to tears with a downright rubbish 1-1 draw.”
