Liverpool is continuing to explore strengthening its coaching setup, amid reports that Etienne Reijnen could be available to take up a role in English soccer this summer.
Reijnen, currently serving as Robin van Persie's assistant at the Dutch club, is completing his coaching qualifications. Reports emerging from the Netherlands suggest the Reds will make their move for Reijnen, 39, once he has obtained those credentials.
While such claims may be premature, the Liverpool ECHO understands that Reijnen could become a viable option as Arne Slot continues to shape a coaching staff that has already undergone several changes since his initial appointment as head coach in the summer of 2024.

Reijnen is well acquainted with the Liverpool manager, having previously worked alongside him at Feyenoord.
He had originally been set to follow Slot in making the move from Rotterdam to Anfield, before the deal fell through due to work permit complications.
Speculation surrounding the composition of Liverpool's backroom staff has intensified of late, with assistant coach Giovanni van Bronckhurst strongly linked with a return to Feyenoord, albeit not in a head coach capacity.

Meanwhile, John Heitinga, the man whom van Bronckhurst replaced last summer, has been mooted as a potential returnee, having been without a club since departing Tottenham in February following a brief tenure at Ajax.
Slot himself has felt pressure at Anfield after failing to win silverware this season and dropping out of the Premier League title race early on.
That pressure has eased in recent weeks, with Liverpool now all but certain to secure a spot in the Champions League next season.
Speaking last month, Slot said: "Of course, I feel pressure; we all feel pressure.
"In this industry, every single day there's pressure.

"We are working at a beautiful club with great history."
Slot added: "But it's also nice to have this pressure, as it would otherwise mean we are out or at a lower level.
"We embrace this pressure."
