Manchester United face the perfect scenario this weekend as they look to beat rivals Liverpool and seal Champions League qualification. The Reds will secure a place in Europe's elite competition with victory at Old Trafford on Sunday.

And once qualification is sealed - attention will turn to several key decisions for United's hierarchy. Firstly, a huge decision will need to be made over who leads them into next season with interim head coach Michael Carrick the heavy favourite.

Then, focus will turn to the summer transfer window, with midfield a priority ahead of Casemiro's departure and Manuel Ugarte's possible exit. Recent reports have seen Lille star Ayyoub Bouaddi linked. Left-back may also be an area they strengthen with West Ham's El Hadji Malick Diouf a name mentioned.

With all that said, below is a look at some of the latest transfer news concerning United, as well as a view on each one...

Bouaddi 'interest'

United have been linked with a move for Lille midfielder Bouaddi. Journalist Abdellah Boulma has claimed via X that the Reds have ramped up efforts to meet with his entourage.

It is also claimed that they are considering enlisting Sir Alex Ferguson to win him over. The 18-year-old is also said to be attracting interest from Arsenal and Bayern Munich.

Isaac Seelochan of the Manchester Evening News says: "Bouaddi would be too big of a risk at his young age. Combine that with the fact he has no Premier League experience, and this potential deal feels extremely unlikely this summer."

Diouf 'monitored'

United are reportedly monitoring West Ham's Diouf as they weigh up a summer move for a left-back. The Guardian claim that the Reds are looking at bringing in competition for Luke Shaw and are one of the clubs monitoring Diouf.

It is said to be unclear whether the Hammers will listen to offers for the 21-year-old, but they are aware of United’s interest. At least one other leading Premier League club have reportedly looked at Diouf.

Isaac Seelochan of the Manchester Evening News says: "Diouf could be a solid signing for United if they get him for a reasonable fee this summer.

"Midfield will be the priority, but with Shaw's injury record, a new left-back should be looked at as well."
