BARNSLEY head coach Conor Hourihane has received some well-wishes from some of the sport’s biggest stars ahead of his final game in charge of the club tomorrow.
The 35-year-old Irishman first joined the Reds in 2014 as a player and spent three years at the club before moving to Aston Villa with whom he would play in the Premier League for.
After spells at Swansea City, Sheffield United and Derby County, Hourihane returned to the club in 2024 as a player-coach before retiring later that year and taking over from Darrell Clarke in the dugout.
Tomorrow’s game against Stockport County at Oakwell will be his last in charge of the club after an agreement was reached between the two parties earlier this year.
After posting a farewell message on Instagram, some of football’s biggest names have wished him well.
The likes of John Terry, Jack Grealish and Robbie Keane all praised the young head coach, while former Barnsley players Oli McBurnie and Peter Ramage sent similar messages.
