Arne Slot confirmed Milos Kerkez is an injury doubt heading into this weekend's game against Manchester United.
Arne Slot has revealed Milos Kerkez is an injury doubt heading into Sunday's Premier League trip to Manchester United after he dropped out of training earlier this week.
The Liverpool defender came off the bench in the final minutes of last week's win over Crystal Palace, and the decision not to select him from the off was somewhat of a surprise given he had started 25 of the previous 33 league games this season.
And Slot gave a somewhat surprise update on Friday that Kerkez has been dealing with a minor injury issue in recent weeks.
"Milos has had some niggles. He left the training pitch on Wednesday, but I expect him to train today or tomorrow."
Should Kerkez miss out, Slot will likely turn to Andy Robertson at left-back. The Scotland captain has started the last three league matches and will face United for the last time on Sunday as a Liverpool player.
Robertson also got on the scoresheet in last week's win over Palace.
Meanwhile, Slot confirmed that Alisson remains a doubt for Sunday's game, meaning Freddie Woodman may have to deputize again.
"Ali hasn’t trained with us yet. Very close to train with us. I have to hear today from the medical staff to see if he is ready to train today, either tomorrow or the start of next week.

"He is very close, but also we don’t want to take any risks. That is not what you do with a player and that is not what we do now."
Liverpool also remains without Conor Bradley, Giovanni Leoni, Wataru Endo and Alexander Isak for Sunday's game.
