Milos Kerkez has emerged as a late doubt for Liverpool’s trip to Man United after failing to complete Wednesday’s training session.
The Hungarian has played only seven minutes across the last two Premier League games, with Andy Robertson selected against both Everton and Crystal Palace.
A return to the starting lineup on Sunday seemed a foregone conclusion, but Arne Slot revealed Kerkez has been battling “some niggles” and will need to prove his fitness in training.
“Milos has had some niggles, so left the training pitch, not yesterday, but the day before,” Slot revealed.
“We are today on Friday. So that means he left the training pitch on Wednesday, but I expect him to either train today or tomorrow.”

Liverpool will train at the AXA Training Centre over the next two days, and Kerkez is not the only player needing to prove his fitness, with Alisson also yet to return from his hamstring injury.
The Brazilian had anticipated a return in late April, but Slot confirmed on Friday that the goalkeeper had yet to resume training, putting him in doubt for the trip to Old Trafford.
Liverpool’s head coach did suggest Alisson would not need long in training before returning to the starting lineup, but offered zero guarantees of rejoining his teammates this week.

Slot’s options if one or both of Alisson and Kerkez are unavailable are clear, though, with Freddie Woodman fit to continue deputising in goal, and Robertson ready to continue at left-back.
Mo Salah, meanwhile, is expected to play his part before the season ends after suffering a minor hamstring injury, but he will be denied a final trip to Old Trafford.
