Arne Slot has confirmed that he expects Mohamed Salah to feature again for Liverpool before the end of the season. Salah suffered an injury during the Reds’ 2-1 win over Crystal Palace in the Premier League last weekend, creating fears that the Egyptian may have played his final game for the club.
Salah will leave Liverpool at the end of the season, with the Reds now having just four Premier League games remaining this season, starting with an away trip to Manchester United this weekend.
The 33-year-old will not be available for the away trip to Old Trafford on Sunday, but Liverpool will hope to have the forward available during their remaining fixtures.
Slot has now provided an update on Salah’s fitness, confirming that he expects the forward to feature again before the end of the campaign.
“As we know for Mo, he is always working hard when he is fit and when he is injured to be back,” Slot said on Friday.
“He is usually fitter than others, so we expect him back for the final part of the season. Not for tomorrow.
"It is always a big relief that his injury is minor to play for us and the World Cup. Any time a player who deserved a send-off, it's great news."
Salah has endured a difficult season at Liverpool, scoring 12 goals across all competitions, including just seven in the Premier League.
The injury Salah suffered against Palace last weekend resulted in the forward being substituted and receiving a standing ovation from the Liverpool fans at Anfield as he made his way off the pitch.
Liverpool later confirmed that they expect Salah to return before the end of the season.

“Liverpool FC can confirm Mohamed Salah is expected to be available to play again before the end of this season,” the statement from Liverpool read.
“The No.11 was substituted during the second half of last Saturday’s Premier League win over Crystal Palace at Anfield.
“The issue that caused his withdrawal has now been confirmed as a minor muscle injury.
“It is, however, anticipated Salah will return to action ahead of 2025-26’s conclusion and his departure from the Reds this summer.”
Liverpool are battling to qualify for the Champions League and are currently in fourth place in the Premier League table.
The Reds have an eight-point advantage over Brighton in sixth place, who are outside the Champions League qualification spots, with four matches left to play.
After taking on United, Liverpool will face Chelsea (May 9), Aston Villa (May 17) and Brentford (May 24) during their run-in.
