Liverpool are searching for a Mohamed Salah replacement this summer, with The Times reporting that a fresh option who could be on the shortlist ahead of the transfer market opening.
The Egyptian King will be waving farewell to the Reds at the end of the season, one year early from his two-year contract extension that was signed during last campaign's heroics.
However, after a drop-off in output and performances, Salah's exit felt inevitable, but so too does the need to replace him properly in the summer.
Liverpool will be torn between making a data-savvy move, similar to that which landed them their iconic winger to begin with, or whether a high-profile name needs to come in and make an impact from the very start.
With that in mind, the Anfield hierarchy have a few names in mind, with another player shortlisted ahead of a summer of yet more change at the club.
Liverpool's interest in Bradley Barcola

Liverpool are looking to bolster their wide areas, and The Times reporter Paul Joyce suggests that Bradley Barcola is a player the club are likely to include on their shortlist.
The Reds have been linked with several players, most notably RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande, who has been rumoured with a transfer switch, but there are several players being assessed to fill that role out wide.
Barcola could face the possibility of an exit from PSG this summer, with his contract set to enter the final two years with the club, while the competition for places in the squad is intense.
The 23-year-old has made 43 appearances across all competitions this season, scoring 12 goals and assisting seven for his teammates, battling to make himself a regular in Luis Enrique's side every week.
There is also plenty of room for Barcola to grow, with it being so early in his career, as last year he was described as "developing into one of the best wingers in the world before our very eyes".
Whether he can truly become that at Liverpool remains to be seen, but Hugo Ekitike has already outlined the quality that Barcola may bring with him to Merseyside.
Bradley Barcola could be perfect for Liverpool
Barcola may be exactly what Liverpool need going into next season, landing a player with plenty of quality now, while possessing potential to improve even further.
One quality any incoming winger should ideally have is pace, given the lack of it in Arne Slot's frontline this season, with the ability to stretch the game likely to create more space for the likes of Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak to thrive in.
Fortunately, Barcola offers just that, as Ekitike used the words "crazy fast" to describe his international teammate when speaking to ESPN in November 2025.
It's clear how much Ekitike loves playing alongside Barcola, when given the chance, though there may have to be a wait for the pair to reunite, even if the PSG winger makes the switch to Liverpool.
Either way, it's a promising sign for the Reds that the recruitment team are targeting players of such high quality.
