Everton plot re-signing Richarlison
According to a report from TEAMtalk, Richarlison could be tempted to join Everton if Tottenham go down to the Championship. The forward has never ‘lost his connection’ with Everton since leaving back in 2022.
The Toffees have enjoyed a fantastic season under David Moyes, settling very well into life at the Hill Dickinson Stadium and pushing towards a potential European qualification spot. They are assessing the market for attacking options, and Richarlison remains firmly on their agenda. Everton are closely monitoring the Brazilian international’s situation, with the 28-year-old set to enter the final year of his contract in June.
So, there’s a possibility that the Lilywhites end up cashing in on him. This would give Everton the chance to pounce on the versatile forward, who has been repeatedly linked with a return to the Blue half of Merseyside. Richarlison is Tottenham’s top scorer this season with 10 goals in 39 games, although he is yet to score under De Zerbi. With his pace, physicality and versatility, the Brazilian could be an upgrade over Beto at Everton.
A dream return to Everton remains on the cards for Richarlison, the report adds. With 53 goals in 152 matches, and playing a key role in keeping the club in the Premier League during past relegation battles, the South American is still adored by the Hill Dickinson Stadium faithful. For now, the Royal Blues are keeping a close watch on him.
For Tottenham, the upcoming summer transfer window would be the right time to move on from Richarlison, regardless of their status. In fairness, the transfer hasn’t worked out as expected, with the versatile forward’s N17 career plagued by injuries and inconsistency.
