Liverpool are reportedly considering a summer move for Bradley Barcola and could hold a significant advantage in the race despite suggestions that Paris Saint‑Germain may open contract talks soon. Barcola was also linked with Liverpool last summer after Luis Diaz left Anfield to join Bayern Munich for £65.5 million.
With Mohamed Salah set to leave at the end of the season, Liverpool are assessing their attacking options. The Egyptian will depart after a glittering Anfield career though this has been his most challenging season on Merseyside, scoring just seven Premier League goals.
A report in [The Times](http:// https://www.thetimes.com/sport/football/article/liverpool-manchester-united-summer-big-questions-3wjt0fqkv?utm_medium=Social&utm_page=Sport&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1777620985) claims Liverpool will likely have Barcola on a list of possible reinforcements for the upcoming transfer window.

However, L'Equipe note that PSG are prioritising a new deal for the Frenchman, with talks with Ousmane Dembele currently on hold.
Up to now, PSG's main stumbling block in negotiations has been establishing Barcola's role in the team.
If talks fail to move forward, that could work in Liverpool's favour, as they would be able to offer him regular football.
With Salah leaving, it leaves a clear opening on the right wing and far less competition than he currently faces at PSG.

At Parc des Princes, Barcola has started 17 Ligue 1 games, but his place in the XI is far from guaranteed given the presence of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue.
The France star has been at PSG since August 2023 after starting his career at Lyon. During his time in Paris, he has scored 38 times and provided 37 assists in 146 appearances.
Besides Barcola, RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande is also under consideration, with the ECHO's understanding being that Liverpool have already made contact with the midfielder's representatives over a possible move to Anfield.
Diomande has become one of Europe's most sought‑after young talents after an impressive debut Bundesliga season with Leipzig, who signed him from Leganes for €20million (£17m) last summer despite him having made only 10 La Liga appearances.
Leipzig are said to value him at around £87m, a figure that could deter some suitors. Sky Sports Germany have also reported that PSG are also keen.
