Arsenal will be without key pair Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber for their crunch clash with Fulham this weekend while they have a doubt over the fitness of captain Martin Odegaard.

The skipper was forced off during the Champions League semi-final first leg tie with Atletico Madrid in midweek and Mikel Arteta couldn't confirm he would be fit to feature against the Cottagers in the Premier League.

Arsenal head into the game three points clear of Manchester City with the chance to extend that lead to six ahead of the Blues' trip to Everton on Monday night. The Gunners welcome Atletico to the Emirates on Tuesday in the second leg of their Champions League tie with the sides having drawn 1-1 in Spain this week.

Arteta addressed the media on Friday and confirmed Havertz and Timber won't be fit while also casting doubt on Odegaard's availability.

"Kai and Jurrien will be out," he said. When asked if Odegaard will be ready to feature this weekend, Arteta said: "Let's see."

He added: "Let's see how everyone is tomorrow morning. We haven't been able to train much."

Arsenal hope to have Havertz fit before the end of the campaign while Timber is also not far away from a return. The Gunners are also without long-term absentee Mikel Merino but he too could be back before the season is out.

Bukayo Saka made his second successive cameo from the bench in Spain while Riccardo Calafiori was back among the substitutes following his injury.
