Liverpool is reportedly considering a summer move for Bradley Barcola and may hold a significant advantage in the race for his signature, despite indications that Paris Saint-Germain could soon open contract talks.
Barcola had also caught Liverpool's eye last summer following Luis Diaz's $88 million (£65M) departure from Anfield to Bayern Munich. With Mohamed Salah set to leave at the end of the season, Liverpool is assessing their attacking options.
The Egyptian will draw the curtain on an illustrious Anfield career, though this has proven to be his most challenging campaign on Merseyside, with just seven Premier League goals to his name. According to The Times, Liverpool is likely to place Barcola on a shortlist of potential signings ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

However, L'Equipe reports that PSG is prioritizing a new contract for the Frenchman, with talks involving Ousmane Dembele currently at a standstill.
To date, PSG's main stumbling block in negotiations has been establishing Barcola's role within the squad.
Should discussions remain deadlocked, this could work in Liverpool's favor, as they would be well-placed to offer him guaranteed regular playing time.
With Salah's imminent exit, there is an obvious opening on the right flank and considerably less competition than he currently faces at PSG.

At Parc des Princes, Barcola has started 17 Ligue 1 fixtures, though his position in the team is hardly guaranteed considering the competition from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembele, and Desire Doue.
The France international has been with PSG since August 2023, having begun his career at Lyon. Throughout his time in the French capital, he has registered 38 goals and contributed 37 assists over 146 appearances.
In addition to Barcola, RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande is also being monitored by Liverpool, with an understanding that the club has already initiated discussions with the midfielder's representatives about a possible transfer to Anfield.

Diomande has established himself as one of Europe's most sought-after young prospects after an impressive maiden Bundesliga season with Leipzig, who secured his signature from Leganes for $23 million (€20M) last summer despite him having featured in only 10 La Liga matches.

Leipzig is understood to be demanding approximately $102 million for the player, a valuation that could deter several interested clubs. Sky Sports Germany has also reported that PSG is equally keen.
