Liverpool is actively pursuing transfer targets ahead of the summer and could turn to Paris Saint-Germain to replace Mohamed Salah at the end of the season.

It's been an underwhelming season for Liverpool in the second year under head coach Arne Slot, though the owners are expected to retain his services in 2026/27. After failing to clinch silverware in domestic and European cups, Liverpool is aiming to finish inside the top five after winning the Premier League last year.

Liverpool and Slot will enter the transfer market this summer to prepare the squad for next season, but replacing Salah is a priority. After being told there's almost zero chance that Michael Olise or Khvicha Kvaratskhelia could be tempted to Anfield, Liverpool is reportedly eyeing Bradley Barcola.

That's according to The Times, with the outlet claiming that Barcola and RB Leipzig prospect Yan Diomande are among a number of wingers being considered by Liverpool. Barcola joined PSG in 2023 after transferring from Lyon, and has starred since moving to the French capital.

Barcola has 38 goals in 146 games for PSG since arriving at the club, and has scored 12 this season. His form has been questioned at times this season, with PSG facing an unexpected challenge from RC Lens for the Ligue 1 title.

PSG appears to have taken control of the title race, and head coach Luis Enrique jumped to Barcola's defense earlier this season. "It’s not just Bradley; everyone is criticized at PSG," he said.

"That’s normal — it comes with playing here. You have to get used to it. The forwards are very good players, with a lot of character. Criticism is part of life in a top club.

"Bradley, last year and this year, has shown his personality. He is very fast and can still improve technically. I am very happy with all my attackers."

Barcola was linked with a move away from PSG last summer, but Enrique made it clear once again how much he rates the French winger. Though Enrique hasn't offered a recent stance on Barcola's future, he claimed last year that the partnership would last many years.

"Bradley Barcola's future? I have no doubt he'll remain our player," Enrique said, as Barcola was linked with Bayern Munich.

"We like the fact that our players are interesting to other clubs. But he's one of those young players we've been banking on. I expect him to play here for many more years."

Diomande is also in demand, but Leipzig could reportedly ask for over $100 million for the 19-year-old Ivorian. Diomande has 12 goals and six assists in 30 Bundesliga games, but is open to extending his future with the German club.

A new contract is reportedly under discussion, with a significant salary increase. However, a release clause may be required, and it's set to be discussed at the end of the season, according to BILD.
