Arsenal and Tottenham have to fight for something else before Martinez

Arsenal and Spurs have a lot to play in the Premier League. The north London clubs will try to achieve a lot from this campaign. Arsenal are still in the EPL title race. Spurs on the other hand are currently fighting relegation. They are trying to save their season.

The Gunners are fighting for the league title. They are doing so for the fourth straight season. For the past 3 seasons, they have finished second. But this year, they will try to get that Premier League trophy. They are in the race against their title rivals, Manchester City.

Arsenal are now in the first position with 73 points. Only four games are left for the season to end. Man City are in second place with 70 points. They still have a game in hand. The Citizens have tough opponents to beat in the coming matches. But it will still be difficult for the Emirates side to become PL champions.

Tottenham Hotspurs are in a different situation. They are sitting in the relegation spots. Spurs are now in 18th place with 34 points. West Ham United are 17th with 36 points, just above the relegation zone. The north London side still has 4 games to protect themselves from relegation. Last Saturday, they got their first win in 2026 against Wolves. Joao Palhinha scored the winner at Molineux stadium. But West Ham had won their game against Everton. So, Spurs are still in the relegation zone.

Still Tottenham are on with the transfer activity. The club has already agreed terms with Bournemouth defender Marco Senesi. He will be a free agent this summer. But his joining depends on whether Spurs stays in Premier League or not. Manchester United and Liverpool are also after that Argentine defender. . Spurs have strong interest for Colombian midfielder, Samuel Martinez.
