Everton head coach David Moyes made short work of images of on-loan Manchester City midfielder Jack Grealish sleeping in a bar as he recovers from a season-endng stress fracture.
Grealish, 30, suffered the injury in his left foot during a 1-0 Premier League home win over Aston Villa in January. The Englishman hasn't played since then, having scored twice and assisted six times - all in the Premier League - this season.
Ahead of Everton's Premier League home game with Grealish's parent club, City, on Monday (May 4), Moyes said about the emergence of the player's image of sleeping at a bar while with friends (as per Liverpool Echo):
“I only think of Jack as being positive. He's done great for us. He was brilliant for, I don't know, 20 games, however many games it was.
"When I'm looking back at the start of the season and how controlled the team were and how well we played, he was really good for us, so I think of Jack positively. He has had a bit of time off because he is healing from his foot.”
The City midfielder has made 22 appearances across competitions this season for the Toffees, who are 11th in the Premier League after 34 games, having exited both domestic competitions early.

Manchester City midfielder Jack Grealish - currently on loan at Everton for the season - is bullish about his recovery from a stress fracture in his left foot during a Premier League home win over Aston Villa in January.
Having been ruled out for the season, Grealish is happy with the pace of his recovery as he described his feelings of not being involved in the Merseyside derby.
"I feel really good in myself now. I had a 10-week Zoom call with the surgeon, who said it couldn't be looking any better at this stage," he told BBC Sport. "So for me, it's happy days and so good to hear news like that."
"As a footballer it's always difficult being injured. I came to the Merseyside derby game, and it got me a bit emotional, because its something I miss doing so much."
Also thaking Everton for their support, the Englishman added:
"I can't thank (Everton) enough for the way they've been with me since I've been injured - they've been brilliant. From the staff, to the players, to the manager."
Off the field, Jack Grealish has extended his role as the principal ambassador of Special Olympics Great Britain, as reported by the BBC.
