Stage is set: Arsenal host Fulham in a key game for the Premier League title race
Opportunity knocks once again for leaders Arsenal in the Premier League title race this evening. The Gunners welcome Fulham to the Emirates Stadium knowing that a win would see them open up a six-point lead at the summit and pile pressure back on Manchester City, who are not in action until Monday night when they travel to Everton. It has been an eventful few weeks for Mikel Arteta’s side, who frittered away their sizable advantage and were beaten and replaced at the top by City to spark serious fears of another nightmare collapse.
Arsenal crucially just about held their nerve to bounce back from consecutive league defeats and edge past Newcastle last weekend, putting them back on top with City - who have a game in hand - in FA Cup action before they played out a tense and controversial 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final tie.
Fulham sit in mid-table amid more speculation over the future of manager Marco Silva, who insists his side will “fight” for an upset today and are ready to seize upon any north London nerves as they battle for European qualification. Follow Arsenal vs Fulham live below!
