Andy Robertson has paid tribute to Liverpool team-mate Mohamed Salah, insisting his colleague was responsible for "some of the highest highs" of his life.
The Liverpool duo will leave the club after nine years each at the end of the month, bringing the curtain down on two of the most glittering tenures of the modern era at Anfield.
Between the pair, they have made 816 appearances for the club and were part of squads that have won seven honours since 2019, including two Premier League trophies in 2020 and 2025 and the Champions League seven years ago in Madrid.
An emotional afternoon is expected at Anfield when the Reds end their campaign against Brentford on May 24 and in a new documentary about Salah - which will air on Sky Sports on Sunday evening - Robertson told his close friend what being colleagues has meant to the Scotland captain.
Robertson says: "Mohamed! We started together and we're going to end this incredible journey together.
"It's been a fantastic nine years, watching our kids grow up together, watching our families grow up together and more importantly me and you growing together.
"It's been an amazing time, I took so much from you, you've given me some of the highest highs of my life. I think of the goals you've scored but the person you are, you've been a fantastic person for this football club.
"You've always stayed loyal, you've always stayed humble and I think that is the most special thing about you. I wish you and your family nothing but the best in the future. I know we will stay in touch and I am going to miss you so much. But I am so glad our journey is ending together."
Liverpool return to action against Manchester United on Sunday afternoon although Salah will be sidelined with a minor hamstring issue.
