The Premier League title race takes centre stage for Arsenal this weekend as they seek to heap the pressure on Manchester City.

Mikel Arteta's squad currently hold a three-point advantage over City in the standings, though Pep Guardiola and his team do possess a game in hand. Arsenal are in action on Saturday evening as they face Fulham at the Emirates Stadium. The fixture arrives just three days following the club's Champions League semi-final first leg against Atletico Madrid.

Spot-kicks from Viktor Gyokeres and Julian Alvarez saw the last-four encounter finish in a 1-1 stalemate, leaving everything to play for in the return leg. That clash will unfold at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday evening. This means the coming days could prove pivotal for Arsenal in shaping their campaign - both domestically and in Europe. Here's all the latest news from the Emirates Stadium.

Pep Guardiola admission

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confessed that he'll likely tune into Arsenal's Premier League encounter against Fulham as the title battle intensifies, reports the Mirror.

The Gunners have the opportunity to crank up the pressure on City, with Guardiola's outfit not featuring until Monday evening.

When questioned in his pre-match press conference about whether he'll be watching Arsenal's game on Saturday evening, Guardiola said: "What time do they play? It's after a training session, so maybe I will watch it."

A victory for Arsenal would put them six points ahead of City, although their rivals would still have two games in hand. City are set to face Everton just over 48 hours after Arsenal's match.

Arteta's remarks criticised

Mikel Arteta has come under fire from ex-Arsenal defender William Gallas.

The Gunners' manager expressed his displeasure at the decision to reverse a penalty awarded to his team in the 1-1 stalemate against Atletico Madrid.

Eberechi Eze seemed to have been fouled in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final. However, referee Danny Makkelie reversed his initial decision following a VAR review. This sparked a heated response from Arteta after the match.

But Gallas has condemned the Spaniard's reaction. "In terms of the Ebere Eze penalty which was overturned, and Mikel Arteta's comments on it after the game... look, I can only say so much about it because I'm not the manager, and I know there are lots of emotions on these occasions," he told Ladbrokes.

"But, for me, regardless of whether it was or wasn't a penalty, you shouldn't be coming out of a game like that and looking for something or someone to blame.

"I'm not happy about that, because if you go back and look at decisions made by referees throughout the season – and this isn't just about Arsenal, by the way – both in the Premier League, and in Europe, you will find plenty of examples of moments where certain decisions have gone in your favour, and you aren't coming out after those games and talking about how the wrong decision was made.

"You know, on Wednesday night, that decision didn't favour Arsenal, but there have been other moments in other games where certain decisions have favoured them... I like to see the manager staying focused and talking about the way his team played, or what they could have done better, rather than jumping on that opportunity to blame the referee or the people behind VAR."

Everton are said to be targeting Arsenal defender Ben White as part of their summer recruitment strategy.

White moved to the Emirates from Brighton for £50m in the summer of 2021. But he has been in and out of the Arsenal team this campaign, having only made 11 appearances in the Premier League.

According to multiple reports, the Toffees are exploring a move for the England player as they look to strengthen their backline ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

White is reportedly admired by David Moyes due to the 28-year-old's versatility. He can play at both right-back and centre-back and would bring top level experience and quality to the Merseyside club.

White signed a four-year contract extension with Arsenal in March 2024, keeping him at the club until June 2028, with an option for a further year.
