Mikel Arteta faces the media after his Arsenal side’s brilliant victory over Fulham which moves them six points clear at the top of the table. This will have certainly piled on the pressure to rivals Manchester City as they go to Everton on Monday night.
Viktor Gyokeres gave the Gunners the early lead. All he needed to do was tap the ball into the back of the net after Bukayo Saka had done all of the hard work down the right-hand side, but he was in the right place at the right time.
The Swede would then create the pass for Saka as repayment, the winger smashing a low shot past Bernd Leno. Gyokeres added the third, with a headed finish after Leandro Trossard’s cross.
But Arteta is sure to be asked about the performance of Myles Lewis-Skelly, whose midfield role drew plenty of praise. That, alongside what was a clear upturn in performance after making some big changes to the team.
