Arsenal picked up a second-straight Premier League win after a 3-0 victory over Fulham at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
The Gunners went into the game after a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final.
Manager Mikel Arteta made five changes to the XI, but that did not affect the performance.
It was one of the best displays in a while. Viktor Gyokeres grabbed the headlines in the derby with two goals and an assist for Bukayo Saka.
Saka returned to the starting XI for the first time since March and made a big impact. He also provided the assist for Gyokeres’ opening goal.
Myles Lewis-Skelly was equally brilliant in the centre of the park. The club graduate got the nod over Martin Zubimendi to partner with Declan Rice.
The 19-year-old showed his class with a passing accuracy of 97 percent. He also won seven duels and made six recoveries against the Cottagers.
Arteta described his performance as ‘incredible‘ after the game. Several of his teammates also praised him on Instagram, including Gabriel Martinelli.
Martinelli, who was an unused substitute against Fulham, commented ‘what a player’ after a standout midfield showing from the Englishman.

The tie is well balanced at 1-1. The Gunners were unfortunate with some poor refereeing decisions during the first leg and will be determined to beat the La Liga outfit at the Emirates.
The Gunners are aiming to make their second Champions League final since 2006. It won’t be a surprise if Lewis-Skelly starts in midfield ahead of Zubimendi against Diego Simeone’s side.
