FootballTransfers runs through the biggest rumours from 3 May, including the latest updates on Nicolas Jackson, Donyell Malen and Jan Paul van Hecke.

Newcastle eye Jackson

Newcastle are keeping tabs on Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, Christian Falk reports.

The Senegal international is currently on loan at Bayern Munich, but the Bundesliga champions will not trigger their €65 million purchase option, as Jackson has struggled for minutes behind Harry Kane.

He will return to Chelsea, but his standing at the club is uncertain. It was previously thought that he would definitely be sold this summer, but the sacking of Liam Rosenior may have given him a lifeline.

Still, it is likely that the Blues will look to cash in on him, and Newcastle are said to be interested. The Magpies are unhappy with their striker options after a disastrous 2025 summer window and may even be willing to offload Yoane Wissa after just one season.

Malen attracting interest

Chelsea, Man Utd and Newcastle have all been left impressed with Donyell Malen’s impact at AS Roma, Corriere dello Sport claims.

The Netherlands international has had a sensational impact since joining the club from Aston Villa on a six-month loan deal in January. The Giallorossi are expected to trigger their €25m purchase option.

However, a quick sale for a profit may be in the offing. €25m is a hefty fee for Roma, and numerous clubs are "moving in the shadows" for Malen, so that a summer move can’t be ruled out. Roma could demand up to €50m for him.

Liverpool in Van Hecke talks

Liverpool have made contact with Brighton defender Jan Paul van Hecke, according to Voetbal International.

The Netherlands international is believed to be keen on taking the next step in his career this summer. It was recently reported that Van Hecke had already informed Brighton that he is planning to move after this season.

Liverpool have now joined Chelsea in the race to sign him, with Reds boss Arne Slot considering Van Hecke an "interesting addition" ahead of the new Premier League season.

Man Utd "attracted" to Pulisic

Man Utd are "attracted" to AC Milan forward Christian Pulisic, TEAMtalk states.

The Red Devils are in the market for a versatile attacking player to replace Joshua Zirkzee and have taken a liking to the United States captain. Pulisic's contract situation - his deal expires next year - has also made him interested.

Pulisic has reportedly been left frustrated by Milan's lack of urgency in sorting a new contract and is currently in the midst of an 18-game goal drought. He has not scored since December.

Svensson courting interest

Borussia Dortmund left-back Daniel Svensson is generating a growing list of admirers, as per fussballdaten.

The Sweden international has impressed for the Bundesliga giants since joining from Nordsjaelland in early 2025. Premier League and Serie A clubs have been keeping tabs on his performances and could be tempted to make a move this summer.

It is claimed that the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool are showing a strong interest in the full-back. Dortmund would only consider a sale for a financial package worth around €40m-€45m.
