Liverpool team predicted to face Manchester United in the Premier League at Old Trafford.

Liverpool get set for one of their biggest fixtures of the season when they travel to Manchester United (15.30 BST).

A victory for the Reds will not only see them leapfrog their fierce foes into third spot in the Premier League table but secure Champions League qualification.

Arne Slot’s side head to Old Trafford having recorded three successive league wins. But they face a United side who have been excellent since Michael Carrick took over as manager, while Liverpool have a lack of players available. Mo Salah is sidelined with a hamstring injury while Hugo Ekitike (Achilles), Giorgi Mamardashvili (wound), Wataru Endo (ankle), Conor Bradley, Giovanni Leoni (both knee), Jayden Danns and Stefan Bajcetic (both hamstring).

With everything in mind, here’s the Liverpool team predicted.

GK - Alisson Becker

The No.1 stopper is somewhat of a doubt but he may declare himself fit for such a big fixture.

RB - Curtis Jones

Done really well in the past two games as a makeshift option. Slot has been impressed with Jones' bravery on the ball and that is a quality that will be needed.

CB - Ibrahima Konate

The France international will know that he is in for potentially a busy afternoon.

CB - Virgil van Dijk

Liverpool's captain would relish getting a victory over United once again.

LB - Andy Robertson

The vice-skipper's experience has proved to be valuable in recent weeks and Slot may not want to change his defence, while Milos Kerkez did have niggles in training earlier this week.

CM - Ryan Gravenberch

Will want to carry the ball as much as possible but keeping tabs on Bruno Fernandes could be pivotal.

CM - Dominik Szobsozlai

The Hungarian will be tasked with using his energy and pressing to harry United.

CM - Alexis Mac Allister

Notched two assists against Palace and if he can have a strong finale then it could bode well heading into next season.

RW - Jeremie Frimpong

Salah will be denied a final outing against United because of injury so it is likely Frimpong is handed a chance. He will try to use his pace to good effect.

ST - Alexander Isak

Took his goal superbly against Palace and supplying the £125m record signing with more chances is imperative.

LW - Florian Wirtz

Slot may look to overload the engine room so having Wirtz operating on the left where he can drift inside may be part of the thinking.

Woodman, Gomez, Kerkez, Ndiaye, Nyoni, Gakpo, Ngumoha, Chiesa, Wright.
