Asked about Rodri’s fitness in his pre-match press conference ahead of the Everton game on Monday night, Guardiola said:
“He is getting better. Still hasn’t trained with us, so we will see.”

Ruben Dias
Guardiola has confirmed that the centre-back is “not yet” ready to return to action, despite having spent the best part of six weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.
Dias was originally ruled out for the Carabao Cup final against Arsenal before the international break, but he has also missed another five matches since then.
The Portuguese international was not available for the league fixtures versus Chelsea, Arsenal and Burnley, as well as the FA Cup ties against Liverpool and Southampton.
In his absence, Abdukodir Khusanov and Marc Guehi have formed a strong partnership in the centre of City’s defence.
Expected Return Date – Unknown
Josko Gvardiol
The Croatian international has been on the sidelines since the start of January after fracturing his leg during a 1-1 draw against Chelsea.
Gvardiol is out of his cast and has been building up his fitness as part of his rehabilitation.
There is optimism that the defender will play before the end of the season, and Guardiola seemed to suggest that he is closing in on his comeback when speaking about the team’s injuries on Friday:
“Josko (Gvardiol) and Rodri are getting better.”
Expected Return Date – Unknown
