Martin Odegaard implores Arsenal to enjoy season climax

The scores remain level at 1-1 following a controversial first leg, which saw both teams score a penalty - Viktor Gyokeres converting in the first half, followed by Julian Alvarez in the second - before Gunners saw a third spot-kick awarded and then the decision overturned upon review.
The late controversy left Mikel Arteta "absolutely fuming" after the VAR recommended Danny Makkelie review his decision to penalised David Hancko for a challenge on Eberechi Eze, which was then deemed legal.
Former referees came out afterwards to heavily critise the decision, while Gunners star Declan Rice is facing the threat of an UEFA ban after saying Atletico's hostile home fans "provoked" the referee's U-turn.
The midfielder said after the game: "Ebs’ one is a clear penalty. So I don’t know how that’s not been given. I think that the fans provoked the decision and changed the ref’s mind."
As the fallout from the first leg rumbles on, the referee and his team of match officials have been picked for the second leg at the Emirates Stadium.
German referee Daniel Siebert will take charge of the game, aided by his two German assistants Rafael Foltyn and Bastian Dankert and two German VAR referees Robert Schröder and Tobias Stieler.
Daniel Siebert
Siebert's is a familiar face to Arsenal, having taken charge of the Champions League quarter-final first-leg win over Sporting in Lisbon, decided by Kai Havertz's late winner. Dankert was on VAR duty that evening.
Tuesday's game will be Siebert's ninth in the Champions League this season, during the previous eight he has handed out 37 yellow cards, two reds and one penalty. The home team have won 62.5 per cent of his Champions League games.
Siebert has taken charge of two other Arsenal games, which the Gunners both won: a 3-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb in last season's league phase, and a 3-1 win over Olympiacos in the Europa League five years ago.

That record is in stark contrast to Atletico's record when Siebert is the man in the middle. All three previous games have come when Atletico faced English opposition; the 3-2 loss to Tottenham earlier this season, the 0-0 draw with Manchester City in 2022 and a 3-2 defeat to Liverpool in 2021.
