Mohamed Salah maintains he still has plenty to offer after Wayne Rooney suggested his "legs had gone."

The 33-year-old will leave Liverpool after what is shaping up to be his least productive campaign for the Reds. The Egyptian topped Liverpool's scoring charts as the team cruised to the title last term, yet has managed just seven Premier League strikes this season.

Salah has 12 months remaining on his Anfield deal, but he has opted to explore fresh opportunities in the summer window following a mutual understanding. Speaking on 'The Wayne Rooney Show' about Salah's downturn, Rooney remarked: "I've said this since the start of the season, age gets to us all, and your legs go.

"I think that's happened to Salah this season, and Virgil van Dijk hasn't been the same this season."

However, in a conversation with fellow Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard for TNT Sports, Salah — presently sidelined with a hamstring problem and unavailable for Sunday's United clash — emphasized his physical condition.

"I feel good, body-wise, I feel all right," the forward declared.

"I didn't become old overnight. Last season, I had this incredible season. I think I have a lot to give, and I will see what is the best for me.

"To go through the season, I feel like this is the right thing to do now, and I have peace with it. The season was tough for all of us. I don't want to say much."

Salah also provided an update on his recovery from injury, admitting he is yet to decide where he will be plying his trade next season, amid speculation linking him with a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia and several European clubs.

"Honestly, physically I feel I have a lot to give," he added.

"I played many games this season. I haven't decided what I am going to do yet. I have a lot of good options. Physically, I feel fine, I feel what I did over the years paid off, I feel good.

"I will see what is best for me. For sure, the injury is fine. I will hopefully be back (before Brentford on the final day)."

Liverpool has three further fixtures remaining after facing United.

Arne Slot's players will welcome Chelsea to Anfield before traveling to Aston Villa, ahead of hosting Brentford on the final day of the season.
