Manchester City return to Premier League action tonight with a trip to Everton.

The Blues begin the day six points adrift of Arsenal at the top of the table following the Gunners' victory over Fulham on Saturday evening. City can cut that gap to three with a game in hand should they beat David Moyes' side.

City will have to do so without Ruben Dias, with the Portugal international ruled out of the contest, while Rodri remains a doubt having picked up an injury late in the win over Arsenal.

Pep Guardiola rotated heavily for the FA Cup semi-final victory over Southampton last time out but we can expect the side at Hill Dickinson Stadium to be more in keeping with the team that beat the Gunners.

Gianluigi Donnarumma will return in goal while Dias' absence will likely mean Marc Guehi and Abdukodir Khusanov will start in the heart of defence. Matheus Nunes has made the right back spot his own this season while Nico O'Reilly can continue on the opposite side.

In midfield, a late call will be made on Rodri but given his recent injury history and the congested end to the campaign it makes little sense to risk him on Merseyside, particularly given Nico Gonzalez was the matchwinner at Wembley last weekend.

Bernardo Silva, in his final season, will lead the side while Rayan Cherki is in fine form and can take the No.10 role. Jeremy Doku and Antoine Semenyo are first choice in the wide positions while Erling Haaland will lead the line.

City predicted XI: Donnarumma, Nunes, Khusanov, Guehi, O'Reilly; Gonzalez, Bernardo, Cherki; Semenyo, Doku, Haaland
