With just three games left of the season, Arne Slot will be focused on delivering a successful transfer window at Liverpool. Despite a disappointing defence of their Premier League crown, the Dutchman is likely to remain in charge ahead of next season - the final year of his contract.

Making sure the Reds return to title contention next season is a must on Slot's to-do list, as well as securing replacements for Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson who are set to leave the club.

Having one of the best goalkeepers in the world under contract doesn't seem like an awkward situation at face value, but it becomes so with context. Alisson Becker - who is subject of strong interest from Juventus - had his deal extended to June of next year after the club triggered his one-year option in March.

However, the Brazilian's recurring injury issues could leave the club pondering whether they'd green light his transfer if the Serie A side were to submit an attractive offer for him. The 33-year-old has missed 16 games across all competitions this season due to various injuries with Giorgi Mamardashvili and Freddie Woodman stepping in.

Alisson remains one of the top keepers in Europe but as is the old adage, availability is the best ability. If Liverpool were to part ways with the goalkeeper, the Brazil international would leave Anfield as the greatest No. 1 in the club's modern history.

With Giovanni Leoni still recovering from an ACL injury and Jeremy Jacquet fresh off shoulder surgery, the Reds could do well to bring in defensive reinforcements. Among the club's reported targets to improve their backline is Bournemouth star Marcos Senesi, according to Marca.

The Argentina international is out of contract at the end of the season and has been linked with a move to Tottenham recently. The 28-year-old is well-known to Slot, having played under him at Feyenoord for a year before his move to the Cherries in 2022.

Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes was behind Senesi's transfer to Bournemouth during his time at the Vitality Stadium and could once again play a huge role in the defender's career.
