With only three matches remaining this season, Arne Slot will have one eye firmly on delivering a productive transfer window at Liverpool. Despite a below-par title defence, the Dutchman looks set to remain at the helm heading into next season — the final year of his contract.
Returning Liverpool to genuine title contention must sit at the top of Slot's agenda, alongside sourcing replacements for Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson, both of whom are set to depart the club.
As he braces himself for another expensive summer on Merseyside, a potential reunion with a former player appears to be on the horizon. Meanwhile, a complicated transfer situation involving a club stalwart is another matter Slot will need to address in the months ahead. We take a closer look at the latest developments surrounding the Reds...

Having one of the finest goalkeepers on the planet tied to a contract might not appear problematic on the surface, but the wider context tells a different story. Alisson Becker - who is attracting considerable interest from Juventus - had his deal extended to June of next year after the club activated his one-year option in March.
However, the Brazilian's persistent injury troubles could prompt the club to consider sanctioning his sale should the Serie A giants table a sufficiently tempting offer. The 33-year-old has been sidelined for 16 matches across all competitions this season through a series of injuries, with Giorgi Mamardashvili and Freddie Woodman both called upon to fill the void.

Alisson remains amongst Europe's finest goalkeepers, but as the old adage goes, availability is the best ability. Should Liverpool decide to part company with the shot-stopper, the Brazil international would depart Anfield as the greatest No. 1 in the club's modern history.

With Giovanni Leoni still rehabilitating from an ACL injury and Jeremy Jacquet recently undergoing shoulder surgery, the Reds would be wise to recruit defensive reinforcements. Amongst the club's rumoured targets to strengthen their backline is Bournemouth star Marcos Senesi, according to Marca.
The Argentina international's contract expires at the end of the season and has recently been linked with a switch to Tottenham. The 28-year-old is familiar to Slot, having featured under him at Feyenoord for a year prior to his transfer to the Cherries in 2022.
Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes orchestrated Senesi's move to Bournemouth during his tenure at the Vitality Stadium and could once more play a pivotal role in the defender's career.
