Unai Emery is high on Real Madrid's shortlist to become their new manager, talkSPORT understands.
Emery is under contract at Villa Park until the summer of 2029, having joined in 2022.

However, sources in Spain believe he could be tempted by a new challenge due to the financial restrictions at Villa.
Madrid look set to appoint a new manager this summer, with Alvaro Arbeloa taking charge after the shock sacking of Xabi Alonso.
Emery has previous experience in LaLiga thanks to stints at Almeria, Valencia, Sevilla and Villarreal.
Jose Mourinho has also been linked with what would be a sensational return to Madrid.

The legendary Portuguese boss spent three years at the club and won three trophies, including LaLiga.
Mourinho reached the Champions League semi-finals throughout all of his campaigns in the Spanish capital.
He is currently at Benfica, although may believe that he has some unfinished business in Madrid.
Mourinho is also understood to have admirers at Newcastle United.
Should Emery go to Madrid?
Reacting to the news on talkSPORT Breakfast, Ally McCoist said: "I'll be honest with you, don't want him to go.
"Love him, like everything about him... I think it'd be bordering on devastation at Villa Park if they lost him.
